Caligor Rx Receives WBENC Certification as a Woman-Owned
Business Enterprise
NEW YORK, Thursday July 12, 2011
Caligor Rx, a leader in the global procurement of comparator drugs for clinical trials worldwide and a woman-owned company, today announced that it has received national certification as a woman-owned business from the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).
WBENC is the largest third-party certifier of businesses owned, controlled and operated by women in the United States. Its national standard of certification is a process that includes an in-depth review of the business as well as an on-site inspection conducted by the regional committee. The certification process is designed to confirm that the business is at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by one or more women.
“We are proud to offer our customers the unique advantages of working with a truly global comparator drug sourcing specialist certified as a Women's Business Enterprise,” said Caligor Rx Director Tammy Bishop. “Diversity is an essential element in creating companies that are innovative, successful and engaged in improving the world around them. Our employees reflect those characteristics and values. By connecting us with companies interested in supplier diversity, the WBENC certification will allow Caligor Rx to further contribute its talents and expertise to the pharmaceutical industry.”
By including women-owned businesses among their vendors, corporations and government agencies demonstrate their commitment to fostering diversity and the continued development of their supplier/vendor diversity programs.
