Comparator Drug Sourcing
Comparator Drugs
Our Strategic Approach
An effective comparator sourcing strategy is essential to ensure delivery of the right drug, at the right time, in the desired quantity.  Ideally, the sourcing process should begin six to nine months before the comparator is needed. Once we know the type of comparator you need and the expected length of your trial, we will prepare a market analysis and a global supply assessment.  Caligor Rx will provide you with the information necessary to make the best strategic decision in the procurement of your comparator.

We can meet all of your comparator sourcing requirements:

  • Branded and generic products available (including manufacturers)
  • Dosage forms, strengths, and packaging available (including variations in different countries)
  • Special storage conditions
  • Quantities available as single batches, together with necessary timelines (so you know if special manufacture is needed and what kind of lead time to expect)
  • Documentation available (certificates of analysis/conformance, BSE/TSE, pedigree, etc.)
  • Any trial information that may be required as a condition of supply
  • Possible future changes to the product – e.g., if a reformulation is being planned

Global Capabilities: With deep roots in the pharmaceutical industry, we have formed strong relationships with drug manufacturers around the world.  These relationships give us the flexibility to source and supply in large quantities, either from stock or through special manufacturing runs.  In addition, we maintain a global network of suppliers, which are audited regularly to confirm their capabilities and ensure integrity of the supply chain.

Cold Chain Distribution: Caligor Rx has extensive experience in storing, transporting and delivering cold-chain (2°C to 8°C) as well as ambient/controlled temperature products around the world. With temperature-controlled depots worldwide, the integrity of your products is always maintained.
